Who I am

Stories have fascinated me for as long as I can remember. I grew up on a horse farm in upstate New York, spending my days wandering deep into the woods, climbing trees taller than I probably should have, and imagining that the world beyond the next hill held hidden ruins, monsters, or forgotten adventures waiting to be discovered. Those quiet forests became the backdrop for countless stories in my head long before I ever thought about writing a book.

As a kid, I devoured everything I could get my hands on, Tarzan novels, comic books, classic science fiction, fantasy adventures, and the old scary movies that always felt more mysterious than frightening. I loved stories that mixed wonder with danger and hinted that the world was stranger than most people realized. That fascination never really left me. It eventually grew into The Earthsong Chronicles, a series shaped by my love of folklore, history, frontier legends, and the question of what might exist just beyond the edge of the known world.

These days, I still spend far too much time disappearing down research trails that begin with a simple question and somehow end in ancient Mesopotamia, lost folklore, or obscure pieces of frontier history. When I’m not writing, I enjoy woodworking, gaming with friends, creating things with my hands, and spending time with my grandchildren, which remains one of the greatest joys of my life.

As a storyteller, I’m drawn to characters who feel human above all else, people facing wonder, fear, sacrifice, and impossible choices. I love stories with atmosphere, mystery, adventure, and heart, the kind that make readers feel like they’ve stepped into a living world.

I’m grateful you’ve stopped by, and I hope the stories you find here stay with you long after the final page.
